Minooka Park Dog Exercise Area - Waukesha
$5 daily fee or Waukesha County Park permit
This 19-acre fully fenced dog park offers wide open fields, shaded wooded trails, and two separate play areas:
• Large breed area
• Small breed area (under 20 inches at the shoulder)
For more adventure, leashed dogs are welcome on Minooka Park’s surrounding trails—perfect for a relaxing nature walk after some off-leash fun.
Mukwonago Park Dog Exercise Area - Mukwonago
$5 daily fee or Waukesha County Park permit
Spanning 34 acres, Mukwonago Park’s dog area includes dog watering stations and three designated zones:
• Large breed area
• Small breed area (under 20 inches at the shoulder)
• Lazy Bones Zone – A peaceful space reserved for senior dogs, shy or disabled pups, dogs in recovery, or those who simply prefer low-energy play. Owners are encouraged to move to the other areas if their dog becomes overly energetic in this calm zone.
With a mix of shaded paths and grassy areas, it’s an ideal park for all personalities.
Mitchell Park Off-Leash Dog Area - Brookfield
Free admission
This 5-acre off-leash dog park is part of scenic Mitchell Park and features:
• Separate fenced areas for small and large dogs
• Shaded walking trails and wooded terrain
• Watering stations, benches, and waste stations
It’s a fantastic option for active dogs who love to run and roam, as well as for owners looking to relax while their pups play.
Nashotah Park Dog Exercise Area - Nashotah
$5 daily fee or Waukesha County Park permit
This 18-acre park provides a quiet, wooded setting with:
• Two fenced areas – one for large dogs, one for small dogs (under 20 inches at the shoulder)
• Dog watering stations for hydration on hot days
• A natural, relaxed atmosphere ideal for well-mannered pups and their owners

Not allowed on the sand beach or in human swimming zones
Menomonee Park – Menomonee Falls
Dogs may swim in the designated dog swim area only
No dogs on the main beach or in the public swim area
Dog-Friendly Public Beaches (SAYOR)
At these parks, dogs are allowed to join you on the beach and swim in the lake areas. Swimming is Swim At Your Own Risk (SAYOR).
