Stay Active While Exploring Lake Country

Stay Active While Exploring Lake Country

Traveling is a chance to step away from your daily routine, but that doesn't mean you have to put your wellness goals on hold. Whether you're visiting The Ingleside Hotel for a business trip, family vacation, wedding, conference, or weekend getaway, you will find plenty of ways to stay active during your stay.

Located in Wisconsin's scenic Lake Country region, The Ingleside Hotel is surrounded by walking trails, parks, lakes, and recreational opportunities that make it easy to fit movement into your day.

Fitness Center

A busy travel schedule can make it challenging to stick to your usual fitness routine. Between meetings, sightseeing, dining, and activities, exercise often gets pushed aside. At The Ingleside Hotel, staying active is simple with our complimentary on-site fitness center, available to hotel guests daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Looking for additional workout options? ProHealth West Wood Health & Fitness Center is located right next door. Guests can purchase a day pass and enjoy access to expanded fitness equipment, group classes, and other amenities. Visit their website for current rates and details.

Get Outside and Explore Lake Country

One of the best parts of staying at The Ingleside Hotel is having easy access to some of southeastern Wisconsin's favorite outdoor destinations. Located on the east side of the property, the Lake Country Recreation Trail Landsberg Center serves as the eastern trailhead for the Lake Country Trail, a paved 15-mile route. It's a great spot for a morning walk, an afternoon bike ride, or a quick run before heading out for the day. About 10 minutes from the hotel, Lapham Peak State Park offers miles of hiking and trail-running paths through rolling terrain and wooded landscapes. Visitors can climb the park's observation tower for panoramic views that make the trip well worth it.

If spending time near the water is more your style, Pewaukee Lake is just a short drive away. The lake's shoreline provides a relaxing setting for a walk, while boating, paddleboarding, and other seasonal activities offer additional ways to enjoy the outdoors.
